A Journal Of Thoughts

  1. As we're closing in on Christmas and the new year, I want to wish you all well and a merry of it all! :)

  2. I have some exciting news for the coming year: I'm joining the January cohort of Ship30for30! This will make me a better digital writer and also help me grow as a person, writer, and I hope Y'all will follow me on that journey. I will publish my atomic essays on my Typeshare account, so follow me there also.

  3. Looking ahead to the new year there are many changes (again) coming into my life. I will finally deal with another one of my health issues, but I'm also retiring from work-life but not from being a content creator.

  4. So many plans and so little time, but I'll try my best to squeeze as much as possible into that time.

Today I have my birthday, my number 62 (23 November 2021), and I feel better than ever about myself. Life has been rough on me for the past six years, and I was getting more sad and lonely.

I like to think that the more streamlined and uncomplexed a workflow is, the easier it is to get things done. And that is what I’m looking for in all my creative processes, both writing and now also…

Being a writer is hard work. Write every day. It's no different from an elite sportsperson. You train your flow, your voice, and your way of expressing yourself in written words. And if that's not…

Everything in life is a learning curve, and it starts already before we’re born. Writing is no different. We write, publish, and we have mostly no idea how it will turn out. WE learn as we…

I think I was early when Notion was released in public beta to catch on; I was looking to see if there was a viable alternative to Evernote as I started to get tired of how slow their support was…

I have always loved a substantial challenge, and I have made some of my own to tame the beast in me (My will to start things but never complete them). See, my problem is/was/might be coI'mstency, and…

There’s a difference between taking notes while reading and making notes reading the same thing. If you don’t know that difference, here is a short recapitulation of that:

My dream is to write a book, or maybe more than one book, and I’m sure I will end up doing that in the long run. I have many good ideas in my think tank that can end up being books. I base loosely…

There are, by some estimates, more smart phones on this planet than human beings to use them. People who have never used a desktop computer use smart phones and other mobile devices every day and have much of their lives tethered to them—maybe more than they should.

When I think about it, clutter in technology is not that different from clutter at home. The more disorganized I get, the more overwhelmed I feel and the more frustrating technology becomes to me. It seems to me that it doesn’t take long for my devices to be full of unused apps.

Remote and hybrid work used to be edge cases. They're not anymore, and major software is changing to reflect that.  Google Calendar, for example, is adding features specific to the transition to remote and hybrid work.
