Musings Of Sporring - Issue #29

Hi again!

New month, July, and we have passed through half of 2021. Isn't it crazy how fast time passes by?

Journalings of thoughts

  1. I'm always surprised by how much I can learn every day. I love finding new interesting things and sharing them either as my own articles or links like I do in this newsletter.

  2. Living in the country, not in a city, has its challenges, but mostly it's for good. One really great perk is the possibility to grow your own vegetables, and I can't wait until I can start harvesting!

  3. Going into my final stretch of writing every day for 31 days, however challenging, it's been a labor of love. Love for the writing, Love for the process, Love for my creativity.

  4. I did a retrospective of all my old writing (before 2015) and I'm a little flabbergasted by the quality of my articles as well as of the various subjects.

What does it mean to learn? For some, it is the introduction to anything new in life that teaches them a thing or two that they did not already know. For others, learning is the process of remembering any information that they are subjected to.

One challenge is how little we know about the dangers.

People tend to think of

,

., and

as relatively recent inventions. But English speakers have been looking for better ways to talk about gender for a very long time.

People in the United States no longer agree on the nation’s purpose, values, history, or meaning. Is reconciliation possible? Nations, like individuals, tell stories in order to understand what they are, where they come from, and what they want to be.

Talking about America’s rising levels of polarization, extremism and distrust of institutions as if they were natural disasters or products of social media quirks misses the more immediate threat.

Making the right considerations happens when you are prepared.
