Musings from Journalings Of Sporring - Issue #17
Hi Yall! So it's time again for a Newsletter. In this issue I will try something slightly different, see if you can spot the difference.
Journalings of thoughts
My cat Esther got sick end of last week, and on Sunday I decided to let her go. Monday the 25th I got an emergency time with a veterinarian and at 15:15 she was gone. It's always hard to lose a loved pet and Esther has been mine for almost four years, which is longer than some of my relationships (and even marriages...) I will treasure her memory but she will have been my last cat.
The cleanout project here at home continues, and I'm ahead of my schedule. I have also terminated the lease of my current apartment. And the move is scheduled to be in late April or May.
Since my focus is on other things right now I'm not publishing so much anymore. But I will be back later on with new and interesting articles.
My plan is that the next newsletter will be more substantial.

Note-taking is fast, uses the original author's language, and feels easier. Note-making is slower, more involved, and uses your own language.

How to boil the perfect basmati rice (as learned by my Iraqi exwife)
1 mug of basmatirice (2.2 dl)
1 stock cube
1 spoon olive oil
boiled water
Rinse the basmatirice in cold water, let the water run off it
pour the olive oil in the saucepan and heat it up
dissolve the stock cube
put the basmati rice in the sauce pan, and pour the boiling water over until it covers it with about 1 cm over the rice. Stir and let it start boil
Turn down the temperature and let simmer for 12 minutes.
remove the pan from the stove and let the rice sit for a couple of minutes.
Serve!
